IMAGE GUIDE
Pixel dimensions, file format and maximum file size are separate requirements. Check the destination form first. This tool treats 200 KB as 200,000 bytes.
JPEG suits photographs, but transparent areas become white. WebP can preserve transparency. PNG is useful for text and shapes, although meeting a small file size may require much smaller dimensions.
Quality and pixel dimensions may be reduced to meet your target. Open the result and check that text remains readable. Keep the original and use the new file for submission.
Selected files are processed in your current browser. The tool uses no image upload API or external image processing service. Closing the page clears the selection and results.
The image is first resized to the maximum edge while keeping its aspect ratio. If it still exceeds the target, quality and pixel dimensions are reduced further. Results show actual dimensions and bytes. Images are never enlarged.
JPEG, PNG and WebP inputs are saved as still images. HEIC and GIF are not supported. Animated WebP or PNG may become a single still frame, so use still photos. Preservation of EXIF metadata and color profiles is not guaranteed.
Re-encoding a well-compressed original can increase its size. Compare the result with the original and keep the smaller file. For readable screenshots, compare PNG and WebP output.
